The foundations of Bush Group were laid in May 1934 when Eric S Bush, the father of the current chairman opened an estate agency in Norwich and built a successful and highly reputed family business. The last 80 years have seen the company expand into other sectors of the property market, offering a range of professional services covering both residential and commercial property.
The estate agency practice was sold to General Accident in 1989 and in 2012 the property management subsidiary (Bush Management) was acquired by Leaders leaving the directors to concentrate on the expansion of the property development and investment side of the company.

Just after the war a pair of Georgian houses in Princes Street, Norwich were acquired and converted into offices, one of which was retained and used for its estate agency business. Various Victorian terrace houses have been modernised and an old motorcycle showroom on Upper King Street in Norwich city centre was transformed into modern office accommodation and later sold as an investment.
Bush Group's new build projects have ranged from residential bungalows on the Norfolk coast to commercial properties and residential flats and houses in the centre of Norwich. These projects include one in Fishergate where offices, flats and houses with river frontage and moorings were built and at the other end more offices with luxury apartments above.
